Kathryn J. Hauptmann, MD, FAAP

 Kathryn J. Hauptmann, MD, FAAPDr. Kathy Hauptmann, a native of southern Kansas City, graduated from Center High School. She attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City, obtaining a BS in Biology and a BA in Chemistry. She graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine in 1991. While in medical school, she met and married another medical student, her husband Dr. Ed Hauptmann, now a local anesthesiologist.

Dr. Hauptmann completed her pediatric residency at St Louis Children’s Hospital in 1994. She then completed a clinical genetics fellowship at Washington University School of Medicine in 1996. She is a board certified pediatrician and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Kathy Hauptmann joined Pediatric Care North in 1997.

She is the mother of four children, Teddy, Evie, Katia and Christoff, and is married to husband Ed now for nearly 20 years.
She is an active member of the Greek Orthodox Church and is passionately involved, working as a Greek dance instructor and many other activities.

She enjoys participating in all of her kids’ many activities, including Greek dance, lacrosse, soccer, swimming, basketball, piano lessons, ballet, scouting, volleyball, and any other activity her four children can come up with! When she finds time to relax, she also enjoys gardening.
